Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Dato Seri Najib Razak

Satu pasukan petugas Malaysia telah membekukan enam akaun bank berikutan dakwaan bahawa Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak menerima hampir $700m dalam dana awam. Walau bagaimanapun identiti pemegang akaun tidak didedahkan.

Sementara itu, bekas Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, telah menggesa Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib agar menunjukkan bukti bahawa asetnya adalah sah disisi undang-undang.

Bercakap kepada BBC, Jennifer Pak, Tun Mahathir menuduh Perdana Menteri mempunyai gaya hidup yang mewah, yang rata-rata telah diteliti dan dimuatkan dalam kebanyakan akhbar-akhbar tempatan.

Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib sebelum ini telah mengeluarkan satu kenyataan di laman media sosial Facebooknya yang mengatakan bahawa pelbagai dakwaan yang dibuat terhadapnya adalah "tidak berasas" dan "keterlaluan".

Malaysia PM Najib Razak challenged to 'show accounts'

A Malaysian task force has frozen six bank accounts following allegations that Prime Minister Najib Razak received nearly $700m in public funds.
